We raise the pups in a family environment. They get tons of attention and are introduced to lots of different things as they grow. The pups are very well socialized and the transition into their new homes should be an easy one. Pups are current on all shots and wormings, dew claws removed and microchipped.
The health of our dogs and puppies is paramount in our minds. We use OFA testing of hips and elbows and BAER testing as tools to produce the healthiest pups possible.
We are accepting deposits on future litters.
We started breeding English Setters about 15 years ago. It has taken us several generations to get to this point, but we feel that the pups from this point forward will truly be our own. We started with some good quality ryman type dogs from other kennels, thew in a touch of a couple of very birdy bench dogs, with incredible pedigrees that included several dual champions. We brought in Emma who would give our dogs some refinement, fresh blood and add to the conformation and bird sense also. Emma was brought in special for Toska and they produced some exceptional offspring, which are now being bred. Our next step was to bring in Brandon - the grandson of a Dual Champion (Champions in the field and show ring) who also had his Master Hunter to boot. Brandon himself was impressive in the show ring, has wonderful movement and a presense that is palpable.
Our goal is to strive to maintain the close working hunting style and incredible affectionate personality of the ryman while bringing the conformation quality as close as possible to the breed standards for the English Setter (with the exception of the coat). If you read thru the breed standard you will see that what makes these dogs so beautiful also contributes to their efficiency, stamina, bird sense and effortless grace in the field.
Brandon is going to make a tremendous impact in our line. His pups have been everything we dreamed they would be. He was an excellent choice to cross into the ryman's we have here. Future litters will be just as impressive, he will only be bred to selected females. His pups are now in the field and are excelling. At six months of age one of his pups has passed his NAVDA test and also has his Junior Hunter Title.
If you are interested in an older dog, please contact us. From time to time we do have older dogs that we need to place in loving forever homes.
